"And now I entrust you to the Word of His Grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance
with all those he has set apart for Himself."
Acts 20:32;

Breakthroughs
in the Spirit
Jesus is the Lord of Breakthrough! 2 Sam 5:20 He demonstrated
His authority and power over every barrier and blockage to the Kingdom of God when He broke through the chains of death and
hell, cancelled the debt of sin on mankind and destroyed the devil on that victorious Resurrection morning Jn 11:25. #
His blood avails for us! # His name has been given to us! # His Word prevails for us! Jesus has given to every
believer the ability to gain breakthroughs in the Spirit in every realm! Mth 17:20
What
are Breakthroughs? To breakthrough is to burst forth into a new dimension, to attain to a higher level than
before, to obtain what was not previously possible. Jesus told us, “All things are possible to him who believes”
(Mk 9:23). Paul could say, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Phil 4:13). Breakthroughs come
suddenly (Acts 2:2). They disrupt the status quo, dissolve any union with previously held ideas and views that are contrary
to a new move of God and lift us into a fresh experience of the greatness and wonder of God and His purposes for us and through
us! New wine requires new wine skins! What was good in the past is replaced and surpassed by the new thing God is doing now!
Isa 42:9; 43:19; Mk 2:22;
The call comes to the Church today “Awake,
Awake! Put on your strength, O Zion; Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city” (Isa 52:1;)! It is
time for us to experience breakthroughs in the Spirit that will take us on into the fullness of the purposes of God for the
Church in these last days in which we are living! We must get off the treadmill of meetings, programs and methods and start
to operate in the unlimited power of the Holy Spirit. The harvest is ready, the nations are waiting and Jesus has said “All
authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth, Go therefore …" Mth 28:18-19
Five
Breakthrough Areas There are five major areas in which every believer, local church and ministry must
experience breakthroughs in order to achieve the goals set before us of a glorious Church ready for the Lord’s return
and the nations won for Christ. 1.New depth of communion and union with God through the Spirit – it’s time
to take time out of our busy schedules to wait before Him and tune into His heartbeat Ps 46:10; Isa 40:31; Ps 63:1-3;
Mk 1:35 2.New release of faith in prayer and works that receive and release the power of the Spirit (Jn 14:13; Mk 11:22-24;
Mth 12:28;18:18;) 3.New flow of supply and provision for every believer and church need that enables us to live and minister
free of the spiritual, physical or material lack that would hinder and restrict the outworking of the Great Commission Jn
10:10; Phil 4:19; 2Cor 9:6-10; 4.New walk in fullness and the Glory of God that ushers in His presence with signs, wonders
and miracles so that it is said “Jesus is in the house” Mk 1:32-34; 2:1-12; Acts 5:12-16; 5.New effectiveness
in evangelism and discipleship through every believer witnessing everywhere, cell and house meetings in every neighbourhood,
church planting in every town and city and mass citywide crusades that change nations. Mk 1:35; 5:19; Jn 4:29; Acts 2:46-47;
3:1-10; 4:20; 4:31-33; 20:20; Rom 15:18-20;
Receiving New Vision
Light Within
Without a vision people perish, but where new vision is received and embraced there is life and purpose! As in the natural
so in the spiritual - blindness shuts out the light and keeps us locked in our own world. However when we turn to Christ the
light of the glory of God shines in our hearts and the Light of life Himself lives within! We have His promise that the darkness
cannot overcome the Light! 2Cor 4:4; Jn 1:5-12;
Life Changing Vision
God tell us that we must be open to and accepting of new vision and Divine guidance or otherwise we will run wild ie in
every direction achieving nothing and going nowhere! When we receive new vision we are seeing what God wants to do through
us! There is a personal implication and involvement attached to receiving new vision. Paul received new vision on the Damascus
Road and it turned his life around. The reality of who Christ is and what he has done suddenly became alive in his whole being
and from that moment onwards he surrendered to the call of God on his life. So it will be with us when God speaks into our
life and we see things from His perspective. Life will never be the same again as we seek to follow the Star of Bethlehem,
the Light of the World, the Lord Jesus Christ. Pr 29:18 NLT, Acts 9:3-6;
Launching
into the Future God says that if we will call upon Him and seek His face, he will reveal Himself to us
and show us mighty things that we do not know! In fact he wants to show us remarkable things that are going on around us and
will take place in the future! Wow! Now we are talking about actually living in the God-realm and moving with Him in His plans
and purposes for His Church and Kingdom! This is where the action is and where Jesus lived everyday on earth. Now is the time
for us to enter into Kingdom Life and launch out into the new things that the Spirit of God is doing. Jer 33:3; Amos
3:7; Jn 5:19; Acts 8:5-12;
Leading the Way New vision is essential
for leadership if they are to lead God’s people and build the Church of God. To lead indicates a going out in front
and opening up the path for others to follow. This is only possible if leaders see the road ahead and know where they are
going. The great need is for us to move out of our holding positions and maintenance modes into an aggressive thrust that
takes the land and establishes Kingdom life and liberty in every nation. That is the Great Commission that Jesus gave to His
Church before He ascended to Heaven! – “Go into all the world and make disciples of all the nations.” It
is essential, therefore, that leadership hears the voice of God, receives new vision and accepts His guidance. Only then will
the church rise up to do the works of Jesus and the nations will be converted to Him. Jn 10:3; Isa 50:4; Josh 1:3; Rom
14;17; 1Cor 4:20; Mth 28:19; Acts 13:1-3;
Leaning on the Lord When
John received his vision of things to come on the Isle of Patmos, he also received a new revelation of the wonder and majesty
of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and a fresh perception of His glorious power and authority. This is how it must be
with us! Just to receive a new vision of what God wants us to do is not enough alone! We must also know that His awesome presence
and power is available in our lives to accomplish His purposes and plans. Like John, we need a fresh glimpse of Him Who sits
upon the throne and rules sovereignly over the whole of creation. We must see that what He calls us to do He will do in us
and through us by His power and grace alone. Only then can we embrace new vision and apply ourselves to it with the assurance
that he will provide and undertake for us until it is fulfilled. Rev 1:10-18; 1Jn 4:4; Rom 8:11; Eph 3:20; Phil 4:19;
